The LPN program at ATA Career Education is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This comprehensive program provides a blend of classroom instruction, hands-on lab experience, and real-world clinical rotations, equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide competent and compassionate patient care. Students will learn essential nursing skills, including medication administration, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and patient assessment, as well as develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum typically covers areas such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatric nursing, and mental health nursing. The program generally lasts between 12-18 months, depending on location and schedule. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination and, upon passing, become licensed practical nurses, qualified to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and private practices. Career services support is often provided to assist graduates in finding employment opportunities.
