LVN LPN Programs
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program at Diman Regional Technical Institute is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effective nursing care. This comprehensive program typically involves a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical rotations. Students will learn essential nursing concepts, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and patient assessment. Emphasis is placed on developing practical skills such as medication administration, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and assisting with activities of daily living. The curriculum will prepare students to take the NCLEX-PN examination and obtain licensure as an LVN/LPN. Clinical experiences at local hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings provide invaluable hands-on training under the guidance of experienced nurses. Graduates of the program are prepared for entry-level positions as LVNs/LPNs, working under the direction of registered nurses or physicians in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home healthcare agencies. While the program focuses on foundational skills, there might be introductory sections towards specialized care.
