Howard Community College’s LPN Apprenticeship program offers a unique and comprehensive route to becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. This program blends rigorous academic coursework with invaluable hands-on experience, enabling apprentices to develop the crucial skills and knowledge demanded by the healthcare industry. Working under the direction of experienced medical professionals, apprentices will engage in direct patient care, administer treatments, collect specimens, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team. Over two years, participants will master 39 essential competencies, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care. Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to sit for the LPN certification exam, opening doors to fulfilling and impactful careers in healthcare.
