The Practical Nursing program at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel as entry-level Licensed Practical Nurses. This comprehensive program emphasizes patient-centered care, evidence-based practices, and the utilization of technology to improve healthcare outcomes. Students will learn to make informed nursing judgments, collaborate effectively within healthcare teams, and provide culturally competent care. Fall 2024 is the last semester students will be accepted into the Practical Nursing Diploma program. Students who wish to pursue practical nursing should apply for the Practical Nursing Certificate program. Successful completion of the program prepares graduates to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam and embark on a rewarding career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
