San Joaquin Delta College offers a comprehensive pathway to becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse, particularly tailored for military personnel with prior medical experience. The program recognizes the valuable skills and knowledge gained during military service, providing a streamlined transition into the nursing field. This includes a Military Pathway for veterans and corpsmen, allowing them to potentially receive credit for previous education and experience, specifically Basic Medical Technicians (Navy Hospital Corpsman) or USAF Basic Medical Service Technicians, or Army Medical Specialist. The program includes a prerequisite LVN to RN transition course (Health Science 43), afterwhich admissions credit will be given to applicants as an LVN to RN candidate per school admission policies.
