Santa Barbara City College’s Vocational Nursing (LVN) program offers a comprehensive pathway to a rewarding career in healthcare. The program distinguishes itself by offering rolling admissions; applications are accepted continuously as prerequisites are met. A new cohort starts approximately every 18 months, offering prospective students consistent opportunities to enroll. A significant advantage is the seamless transition it provides for LVNs aspiring to become Registered Nurses (RNs). Successful completion of the LVN program and ADN prerequisites allows students to apply to the RN program, building upon their existing knowledge and skills. All information about program requirements, prerequisites, and application procedures can be conveniently found on the Vocational Nursing program website, with additional program information meetings offered during the fall and spring semesters. This streamlined approach, along with their CNA requirement, makes the program a clear and accessible route to a career in nursing.
